your first fault is that you never just leave DV raw and edit it together... cause it will look shitty - you have to apply filters to it to adjust the colour balance yo make it look like film, also maybe toy with the idea of changing the frame rate to 24fps matching that of a standard 16mm camera, and adding a matte at the top and bottom to give it a 16:9 anamorphic appeareance... why?
because your audince will never know that you used "shitty" DV - its all in the mind. so your idea of lighting it badly so it hides how crap it is, is pants - just a lame excuse for bad lighting

your second fault it that this is a site for low budget film makers so all we have is "shitty" DV and SVHS - we dont have the budget for high classy film... DV is the saviour for us filmmakers because it allows us now to have the power to make films of reasonable quality for the price of a DV cassette and edit them at home.. so i will continue to advise people on what DV / SVHS camera i think is best to buy thankyou very much

I'm not going to get in depth, because you have A LOT to learn... but you have obviously never seen a 3 chip camera, compared to a single chip camcorder... the differences are endless...

Where the FXXX does a teenager get money in the thousands? I'm 15 and even when I am doing shit jobs all the time, it takes me about 2-3 months to save a couple hundred dollars!!!!!! I think these are just rich kids whose mommys and daddys give them large amounts of money for their birthday!

first of all i am not rich... second I have been saving for 11 months and I sold a bunch of stuff. My money was hard to get but if you really want something you can do it. i also worked in the summer.
